School field trips are held on Wednesday mornings and are conducted by the staff of the San Mateo County History Museum with the assistance of Folger Estate Stable docents.

Students have fun pressing apples, building "stone walls", stamping leather, and learning about tacking-up a horse. At the end of each tour, the kids are treated to a special appearance from Dakota - a resident Folger Stable horse.
